Professor Tony Ezome of the Higher Teacher Training College in Gabon gave an introductory course in Algebraic Geometry to students in the Master's programme in Algebra, Codes and Cryptology at the Centre for Cybersecurity and Cryptological Mathematics at the University of Bamenda in Cameroon. The course took place from April 22 to 27.

Escola de Matemática da América Latina e do Caribe (EMALCA) – Brazil

From April 1 to 12, an EMALCA was held at the Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro in Brazil. The aim of this school is to identify talented young people wishing to pursue higher education in mathematics, science and engineering, mainly in the triangular region of Uberaba and the surrounding area. The aim was also to train teachers from Uberaba secondary schools in mathematical disciplines. This year's EMALCA was dedicated to Jacob Palis.

Du 1er au 12 avril, s'est tenue à l'Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro, au Brésil, une EMALCA. Cette école visait à repérer de jeunes talents désireux de poursuivre des études supérieures en mathématiques, en sciences et en ingénierie, principalement dans la région triangulaire d'Uberaba et ses environs. L'objectif était également de former les enseignantes et enseignants des écoles secondaires d'Uberaba aux disciplines mathématiques. Cette édition d'EMALCA fût dédiée à Jacob Palis.
