CIMPA SCHOOL

ÉCOLE CIMPA

NAKHON PATHOM – THAILAND

The CIMPA School Mathematics for Medicine and Health Sciences was held at Silpakorn University, Thailand, from May 20 to 31, 2024. The coordinators of the school were Pornsarp Pornsawad (Silpakorn University, Thailand) and Youcef Mammeri (Université Jean Monnet, France). The supervisor was Lidia Fernåndez (Universidad de Granada, Spain). The focus of the school was on mathematical analysis, modeling, data analysis, and scientific computing to tackle real-world problems in medicine and health sciences. The goal was to equip participants with the skills to address specific challenges arising from mathematical modeling in medicine, particularly those relevant to Southeast Asia.

L'école CIMPA Mathematics for Medicine and Health Sciences s'est tenue à l'université Silpakorn, Thaïlande, du 20 au 31 mai 2024. La coordinatrice et le coordinateur de l'école étaient Pornsarp Pornsawad (université Silpakorn, Thaïlande) et Youcef Mammeri (université Jean Monnet, France). La superviseuse était Lidia Fernåndez (Universidad de Granada, Espagne). L'école se concentrait sur l'analyse mathématique, la modélisation, l'analyse de données et le calcul scientifique pour aborder des problÚmes réels en médecine et en sciences de la santé. L'objectif était de préparer les participantes et participants aux défis concrets de la modélisation mathématique en médecine, particuliÚrement pertinents pour l'Asie du Sud-Est.

COURS CIMPA EN LIGNE

BAMENDA, CAMEROON

Professor Andre Saint Eudes Mialebama Bouesso (Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland) delivered an online course on commutative algebra from May 7 to 17, 2024, to master's students at the University of Bamenda in Cameroon. The objective of this course is for students to recognise the importance of rings, modules, and Gröbner bases as central objects in commutative algebra.

Le professeur Andre Saint Eudes Mialebama Bouesso (Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Pologne) a donné un cours en ligne sur l'algÚbre commutative du 7 au 17 mai 2024 à des étudiantes et étudiants de master de l'université de Bamenda au Cameroun. L'objectif de ce cours est que les participantes et participants reconnaissent l'importance des anneaux, des modules et des bases de Gröbner comme objets centraux en algÚbre commutative.

An African Mathematical School was held from May 20 to 31 at Thomas Sankara University, Burkina Faso. Coordinated by Ibrahim Nonkane, the main objective of this event was to share updated knowledge on various aspects of representation theory in algebra, analysis, and geometry.

Coordonnée par Ibrahim Nonkane, cette rencontre avait pour objectif principal de partager des connaissances actualisées sur divers aspects de la théorie des représentations en algÚbre, analyse et géométrie.
