i RENALA is a non-profit making association governed by the Ordinance 60-133 of October 03, 1960 on the general regime of Associations, amended by the Ordinance 75-017 of August 03, 1975.
- It is created for an indeterminate duration
- It is independent of any political, ethnic or religious affiliation
The structure of the Association i RENALA includes:
- The General Assembly of members (GA);
- An Administrative and Technical Council (ATC) assisted by an Executive Secretariat;
- An operational cell (OpCell).
I RENALA Association has for objects:
- Ensure delegated project management for a national electronic communications network for research, technological development and education ;
- Support the development of collection networks for scientific and technical purposes and ensure their national interconnection ;
- Ensure electronic communications with education and research (NREN) networks in other countries and participate in international projects and interconnection projects ;
- Ensure project management of electronic communications services, namely address management, routing and naming plans, as well as network directory services (DNS and reverse zone resolution), for the benefit of the entire research, technological development and education community
- Provide project management for a range of services, applications and resources dedicated to higher education and research
