The i RENALA approval

The i RENALA approval of an institution is the set of provisions that binds it to the i RENALA association, i.e. the Approval Agreement, the rate sheet and the Code of Ethics.

  • The Approval Agreement: it presents the general and particular conditions of access to the i RENALA network. It has to be signed only once by the legal representative.
  • The i RENALA code of ethics: it defines the terms of use of the i RENALA network, it must be signed by the legal representative who designates a security contact there.
  • The i RENALA rate sheet: it validates the connection rate of the sites connected to the i RENALA network. It must be signed by the legal representative and returned in the event of a modification of the access rate or of the list of secondary sites.

The signature of the Approval (by i RENALA association and by the requesting institution) is prior to any use of the i RENALA network.

The users of the i RENALA network are institutions called “eligible”, which means that their status and activities allow them to apply for an i RENALA Approval.

There are two kinds of eligible institutions:

  • those who are members of the association or are under the supervision of a member of the association and who, therefore, can apply for an approval,
  • those who are not affiliated with a member of the association but which are nevertheless authorized because their activity is in conformity with the code of ethics (ask i RENALA).

A connection to i RENALA will result in a member agreement at the rate published by i RENALA.

Tariffs

The association has not yet established the tariffs for its proposed services.
The international connection rate is not known but it should be lower than the current market rates (as part of a guaranteed dedicated link).
These tariffs will be decided during the next general assembly of i RENALA.

The access rates to the IPv4 services of i RENALA do not include the connection service to the core of the i RENALA network, which is the responsibility of the subscriber.
